Greetings Everyone
In 1980 Johnny Lee recorded and released a song called “Looking For Love in All The Wrong Places”. The song remained a massive hit across multiple charts and was used in the movie “Urban Cowboy”. In the song he describes that he was looking to be loved in many places but was always let down. In many ways Johnny describes the same problem that has existed for all people everywhere. Humanity has a propensity to look for love in creation rather than their creator. If you’ve ever felt disillusioned with trying to find love and never finding it, Zechariah offers hope that is not merely theoretical or far off, but tangible, permanent and possible. This Sunday we will look at the 10th chapter of Zechariah as he describes the futility of looking for love in all the wrong places, but also give us the hope that we can find love not in the creation, but in our Creator.
