These lobelias have a trailing, mounding habit of narrow green leaves and a vigorous growth habit. They are shown to best effect grouped or massed, as it forms a low cushy mat of intensely colored blooms. Trailing lobelias are perfect for rock gardens, beds, border edges, and containers; but their cascading colors make truly exceptional hanging baskets. Lobelias prefer full sun to dappled shade and organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils.
