Greetings Everyone
This will be my last communication through Midweek Messenger for a while. We are looking forward to our time away and know that the Lord will continue to bless this part of his family as you worship, pray, study and serve. I will be sending some pictures and updates to Nichole which she has my permission to share with you as she chooses.
Over the next 5 Sundays you will have the opportunity to hear 5 different voices share the Word of God and their experience as disciples of Jesus Christ. Here is the Line-up:
September 10… a familiar name to most everyone, Rev. Tim Dalstrom, will be here. Tim and Mickey have been enjoying retirement since mid-April last year. He is excited to return and share this time of Sunday worship.
September 17… Chris Camut will be speaking. Chris and Cassie are both leaders in our church. Chris is serving as an Elder and the Clerk of Session while Cassie is a Deacon. Chris will be sharing from a period when his faith came alive and he started a deeper walk with the Lord.
September 24… Jim Ramlow will be bringing God’s word to us. Jim is a man of deep faith and deep study of God’s Word. He is a weekly participant in Tuesday morning Men’s Bible study and spent last year and now this year teaching our 9 AM children’s class.
October 1… Rev. Tim Lanham, director of Glacier Camp, will be leading worship. Tim is no stranger to FPC Whitefish. Not only does Tim direct the camp but he is also known for his “Tim Talks” which take place several times a year at the camp and via ZOOM. He is a Bible scholar and teacher and is always loved for the time he spends with us.
October 8… Rev. Brenna Stanfield, Associate Pastor from 1st Presbyterian Church, Kalispell, will be with us. Brenna works part time at the church assisting with pastoral care, children and family ministry and preaching once a month. Why only part time? She and her husband (who is Vice-Principle at Glacier High School) have four children spread out over 9th, 7th, 5th, and 3rd grades. I know you will be blessed by the Word God has given her to share with us.
Terri and I will keep all of you in prayer during our many miles of walking, meeting new friends from around the world, seeing new sites, and discovering all God has in store for us. We especially will be praying for the Pastor Nominating Committee as they continue their work to pursue God’s person to lead FPC Whitefish into His future. As we have said from the beginning, God already knows the right person. It is our job to discover what God already knows.
With all this in mind, I want to present a challenge to all of you: Keep the future pastor and their family as a priority in your prayers. My belief is that Prayer Paves the Way into God’s Future. Wow, that sounds like a good sermon series for somewhere down the road.
May the peace of the Lord be with you. See you when we get back.
Pastor Paul

Sunday School Classes Resume
First day of Sunday School is September 10th
followed by a pizza party!
Grades K-4th will meet for Sunday School following Children’s Time and will go until 11:15. We need the extra time to run our bible memory program. We will be practicing all month and then they will have an opportunity to recite their verse on Communion Sunday when we have a shortened class time.
Professor Jim Ramlow will be holding Sunday School every week from 9:00-9:45 for 5th-8th graders. He has a special series planned that will center around C.S. Lewis’ book The Voyage of the Dawn Treader along with the gospel of Mark. That series of study will run through December. He will pick up again in January with a new series.
At this time we are not offering a preschool class but if we get 3-4 children of preschool age, we will talk about having a separate class. We will, however, have a nursery attendant each week starting in September and preschoolers are welcome to be in that room.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17
September Fish Fry!
It’s time for another finger licking farm raised catfish luncheon. Complimented with tartar sauce, hushpuppies, coleslaw, French fries and of course desserts.
