A number of demographic studies over the past few years indicate that decline of Christian faith in America. One of the consequences of that decline is the loss (or at least questioning) of Christian morals that have been the underpinning of American culture. James P. Owens, a successful Wall Street investor, discovered the need for reexamining our ethical code following the economic collapse of 2008. In his book, Cowboy Ethics, he proposed the need to examine “the Code of the West” as a beginning point of establishing a new moral code. It is interesting that many of the principles of that code are embedded within the Judeo-Christian heritage. This summer we will focus our times of reflection and study on “The Scriptural Truths in the Code of the West.” Please join us for this exciting study.
