FPC will be participating in Whitefish’s Trick-or-Treat Street again this year. Please consider bringing a bag of candy into the office to donate to this fun children’s event. Volunteers will be needed to pass out candy. If you’d like to participate in Trick-or-Treat Street contact Lisa Nelson or Nichole Grant, in the church office.
A “note” from our Music Director
God is at work in our midst! I appreciate every singer and instrumentalist sharing music throughout the summer and into autumn in rehearsals and in worship services! Our choir is growing in numbers, and we are beginning to learn the music for our Christmas cantata. We will be fortunate to have a guest trumpet musician and a guest soprano on October 15th.
The Alpine Ringers 12 Handbell ensemble played on two Sundays this summer. James Coles performed an original piano composition featuring songs of the Old West. We enjoyed a guest flute musician’s part on a choir song and a guest soprano as part of our ladies trio. Frank Terhune played a piano solo. We had a ladies ensemble song and a men’s ensemble song. John Manuel and Jo Smith sang a duet and Leslee, Karen and John sang solos. Our quartet and organ-piano duets frequently shared and we had and organ solo.
We still have space for more singers in choir and would openly welcome anyone. We rehearse on Mondays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 9:15 a.m. Alpine Ringers rehearsals are Mondays at 5:30 p.m. We have a need for handbell musician substitutes.
Making a joyful noise, Gratefully,
Alma Ramlow, Music Director
