Monthly Highlights From The Session
- Memorial Committee
We are currently seeking members to serve on the Memorial Committee. This important group is responsible for overseeing funds donated in memory of loved ones and helping to determine meaningful projects or items these gifts can support. If you are interested in serving or would like more information, please contact Leslee Washer.
- Church Sign Update
Our outdoor sign has experienced significant wear and tear over the decades, along with recent damage to the glass. While we’ve gratefully received several generous offers to help cover the cost of repairs, the situation is more complex than just replacing the glass.
The brick structure remains sound, but the entire interior of the sign—including the electrical system—needs to be redone. After months of searching, we have successfully located the power source, and we are now in the process of gathering bids to update the electrical and fully restore the inner workings of the sign.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work toward a thoughtful and lasting solutio
- Flower Sale – Volunteers Needed!
Our annual Flower Sale is almost here, and we need your help! We’ll be receiving a beautiful selection of annuals, vegetables, perennials, and hanging baskets—and your support makes this event bloom.
This sale raises over $5,000 each year to benefit our Community Youth, Young Life, and our Emerging Youth Ministry Program.
Here’s how you can help:
Friday at 9:00 AM: Help us fill preorders—no experience necessary!
Friday, 11:00 AM–5:00 PM & Saturday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM: We need help with greeting customers, taking payments (cash & credit), counting flowers, fluffing displays, and most importantly—sharing joy and the love of Jesus with all who stop by.
Kids are welcome too! Their energy and enthusiasm are a huge blessing.
Come lend a hand and be part of something that brings beauty and support to our community! Call the church office to let us know that you can come. Or just show up and we’ll happily put you to work!

- Flower Sale This Friday & Saturday!
Invite your friends—and their wallets—for a weekend full of beauty and blessing! Our Flower Sale is happening Friday and Saturday, featuring vibrant annuals, perennials, vegetable starts, baskets, and hanging baskets.
This joyful event is more than just a sale—it’s a ministry! As we share the love and joy of Jesus with our community, we also offer healthy, colorful flowers at unbeatable prices. You won’t find a better deal anywhere in the Flathead Valley!
Spread the word—tell your friends! Come enjoy the fellowship, the flowers, and the mission behind it all.
- Summer Worship Schedule Begins June 8
Starting Sunday, June 8, we will shift to our Summer Worship Time of 9:00 AM. This seasonal schedule allows everyone a little extra time to enjoy the beauty and rest that summer Sundays in Montana can bring—whether that’s time with family, quiet in nature, or simply soaking up the sunshine.
We understand that change—especially to our worship routine—can be difficult. It’s natural to miss the familiar 10:00 AM start. But we encourage you to view this as an opportunity to embrace something that serves the broader church family. A slightly earlier start means more time for connection, rest, recreation, and reaching out to others in our community.
This is a temporary change—we’ll return to our 10:00 AM Worship in September—and we hope this small shift can be received with open hearts, as a gift to the whole body of Christ.
Let’s lean into the season with grace and gratitude as we worship together under the summer sun!
The Board of Directors of the First Presbyterian Church of Whitefish Corporation requests nominations for two additional Director positions to bring the number of Directors to five (5), with terms expiring at the end of 2028. This is for the purpose of broader representation. Any active church member may be nominated. Nomination forms are available in the Fellowship Hall and may be placed in the suggestion box until noon on May 25th. The new Directors will be elected by ballot following the service on June 1st.
Our corporation was established in 1904 and is one of the oldest nonprofit organizations in Montana. It has owned our property since 1920 and has continually managed it for the benefit of our congregation since then.
